KARACHI ASHARA ENDS LIKE A DREAM

What made Karachi Ashara outstanding, was the general attitude of mumineen there.

They treated mehmaan in the spirit of welcoming them as, Imam Hussein's zuwaar and Ali Qadr Maula's

personal guests.

This attitude was the winning point.

Right from the word GO, small things mattered to mumineen.

We were treated like royals.

At the airport, young boys rushed to pick up our luggage, offered us snacks with a warm smile, were apologetic if

there were any delays. The message was, that "we are here to help you as best as we can."

Mumineen who were hosted in houses, never felt as that they were strangers. They were treated like family or

more than that.

All around there was courtesy & warmth.

No pushing or shouting or jumping queues.

The discomfort of heat or the slightly long distances, all faded away, because of this atmosphere of being one.

On the 11th of Muharram, the hosts went out of their way, to take their mehmaans, to treat them at breakfast

with Halwa Puri & Nihari for breakfast.

Even for dinner, there were just mumineen visible in all the restaurants that were open.

When we had dinner at Kaybees, one mumin bhai had got approx 40 guests for dinner.

Someone in Haideri had organized a barbecue of 4 bakras for his guests.

As if this wasn't enough, they gave hadiyas when we left & yet they kept on saying that they hadn't done enough.

Of course the other big achievements are too many to be listed here.

The clean clean Saddar area & thousands of shops closed for the entire event, the top notch security, the zonal

mawaids, the endless supply of water & snacks & tea. The BGI working round the clock.

Also the sweetness of Urdu & the unending hugs, just added to the whole feeling of being belonged.

Ashara ended like a dream.

Maula's Bayaan Mubarak & the shanaat that mumineen witnessed, I am too small a person to comment on.

I thought just sharing my viewpoint, would be my expression of heartfelt gratitude to the mumineen of Pakistan

and to all those who made it possible.

I feel, all this happens, because, we all are the children of Aali Qadr Saifuddin Aqa (Tus).

Mufaddal Aqa may you live a thousand years and Maula Hamne aapna saathej hamesha raakhjo.

Shukran once again to mumineen of Pakistan.

Dehydration Signs and Management

Due to extreme heat, increasing cases of vomiting and diarrhea infections, and limited availability of water, there have been many cases of dehydration seen in medical camp. This dehydration can lead to significant problems like fainting, heat stroke, and even worse issues for people with diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart problems.

The signs and symptoms of dehydration may differ by age.

Infant or young child
- Dry mouth and tongue
- No tears when crying
- No wet diapers for three hours
- Sunken eyes, cheeks
- Sunken soft spot on top of skull
- Listlessness or irritability

Adult
- Extreme thirst
- Less frequent urination
- Dark-colored urine
- Fatigue
- Dizziness
- Confusion

Management of Dehydration:
For infants and children who have become dehydrated from diarrhea, vomiting or fever, use an oral rehydration solution such as ORS, Pedialyte, or Hydralyte. These solutions contain water and salts in specific proportions to replenish both fluids and electrolytes.
Start with about a teaspoon (5 milliliters) every one to five minutes and increase as tolerated. It may be easier to use a syringe for very young children. Older children can be given diluted 7-up or Sprite. Use 1 part sports drink to 1 part water.
Most adults with mild to moderate dehydration from diarrhea, vomiting or fever can improve their condition by drinking more water or other liquids. Diarrhea may be worsened by full-strength fruit juice and soft drinks.

See a doctor at the medical camp if you have any of the following:
- Has had diarrhea for 24 hours or more
- Is irritable or disoriented and much sleepier or less active than usual
- Can't keep down fluids
- Has bloody or black stool

Vomiting and Diarrhea Virus

There have been many cases of vomiting and diarrhea coming to the medical camp. These viruses are passed from person to person and are often due to lack of cleanliness.

Prevention:

Please ensure that you wash your hands with soap OFTEN and especially before eating food. Make sure you are drinking filtered water at all times.

If you have vomiting symptoms:

- Take rest. Too much activity and not getting enough rest might make nausea worse.

- Stay hydrated. Take small sips of cold, clear, carbonated or sour drinks, such as ginger ale, lemonade and water. Mint tea also may help. Oral re hydration solutions, such as Pedialyte, can aid in preventing dehydration.

- Eat bland foods. Start with easily digested foods such as crackers and toast. When you can keep these down, try cereal, rice, fruit, and salty or high-protein, high-carbohydrate foods. Avoid fatty or spicy foods. Wait to eat solid foods until about six hours after the last time you vomited.

If your symptoms persist more that 24 hours, please seek help from a doctor.

If you have diarrhea symptoms:

- Take it easy. Too much activity and not getting enough rest might make diarrhea worse.

- Eat bland foods. Start with easily digested foods such as crackers and toast. Eat in small quantities so as not to trigger more diarrhea.

Seek medical attention if any of these symptoms occur:

- Diarrhea doesn't improve after 24 hours

- Hasn't had a wet diaper in three or more hours

- Has a fever of more than 102 F (39 C)

- Has bloody or black stools

- Has a dry mouth or tongue or cries without tears

- Is unusually sleepy, drowsy, unresponsive or irritable

- Has a sunken appearance to the abdomen, eyes or cheeks

If your symptoms persist more than 24 hours, please seek help from a medical doctor. You can take IMMODIUM (LOMOTIL, LOPERIMIDE) to stop the diarrhea before going to waaz. However it is better to not block the diarrhea with this medicine as it can cause more complications.

Also, please DO NOT start antibiotics for diarrhea without seeing a medical doctor. Signs that you may need antibiotics include severe abdominal pain, high fevers, and bloody stool.

Instructions for All Mehmaan Kiraam Travelling for Ashara Mubaraka 1439 Karachi

All Mehman kiram are requested to take Raza Mubarak before coming to Karachi for Ashara. Arrival details and visa number need to be entered on ITS52 to do araz for Raza.

Transport Options from Lahore to Karachi

For Mumineen travelling via Wagha Border, there are limited transport options available from Lahore to Karachi. Jamaat has organized special AC bus service at a cost of PKR 5300 per person. To avail this service, please call on ITS Help Line +922138275253. You MUST book your seats 48 hours before arriving to Lahore. Buses are limited and only available on prior booking.

Mumineen seeking information regarding Ashara in Karachi may call on the ITS helpline number +922138275253. The timings are from 10am to 10pm PST.. In order to facilitate in a better way, we would request to keep all the relevant information handy like ITS number, contact details etc.

Update Local SIM Numbers

Upon arrival at the Arrival Scanning center, Mumineen should obtain a local sim first and then submit the sim with your ITS52 card for scanning. That way all pertinent information can be sent to your local number.

If you have obtained a local sim after scanning, please login to your ITS52/Miqaat portal and update your local number there (including infants and all your family members)

Update Arrival Information

All Mehmaan Kiraam, travelling by air to Karachi, are requested to compulsorily update arrival details on the ITS. In that update, it is compulsory to mention the Flight Number of the carrier landing in Karachi & and date of arrival (please update proper flight code under flight master).

Free SIMS for Mehman Kiram

Karachi Jamaat will be giving FREE SIMs to all Mehman Kiram coming to Karachi with some FREE minutes and Internet. Telenor and Mobilink are Jamat authorized Telecom companies.

Arrival Scanning

All Mehman Kiram who have already arrived in Karachi and have not done arrival scanning are requested to perform arrival scanning at their nearest mohallah help desk. All are humbly requested to make sure to tag their local mobile number with their respective ITS numbers while performing arrival scanning.

Update Visa Status

All foreign mumineen are informed that if they have obtained their visa, they should log onto ITS and update their visa numbers to enable Raza Mubarak Misaal shareef.
